Artist's Statement:
This book is a letter from a daughter to her mother about a journey into the Yosemite valley in the late 1800s. I felt the Lacunose technique which is several layers of thin leather pinched and layered then sanded to a fine finish, would best capture the varied colours of the valley to create a watercolour painting effect.
