CBBAG HOME STUDY: Recent Titles:
Marbling: A guide to the craft of watercolour marbling

This new course is comprised of a 160 page manual (including 63 colour and 43 B+W illustrations) and three instructional DVDs. This is the most comprehensive home study marbling course currently available. It provides a complete introduction to the basics of marbling including materials, methods, colour, design, and technical process.
Other recent titles are Finishing and Restoration & Repair.
Finishing includes a manual and three videos: Tools, Blind Tooling; Lettering Pallet,
Gold Tooling; Titling on the Spine, Inlay, Onlay.
Restoration & Repair includes three videos: Mechanisms Causing Deterioration
in Books, Documentation, Estimating Costs; Methods for Correcting Structural
Problems, Assessing Books for Repair; Repair Techniques. Included as well are two videos: Colour Theory; Practical Tips for Colouring
Paper & Cloth with Martha Cole and The Use of Japanese Paper in Book
Conservation with Don Etherington.

Creative Book Structures of Hedi Kyle
Workshop with Suzanne Schmollgruber from Ascona
Hedi Kyle's extraordinary book constructions, found between historical and modern designs, will be
reconsidered and further interpreted in this workshop. Artful folding, cutting and sewing techniques
will present numerous variations of concertina to codex bindings. The aim of the workshop is
to create a collection of samples which can be extremely inspiring for our daily creativity.

bel libro, Ascona.
