French Endbands

Hours: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Course fee: $95 members/ non-members
Materials fee: $20 payable to the Instructor
Prerequisite: BB11 or permission of instructor
  In this one day workshop, participants will learn how to make headbands in French styles. The goal is to allow book artists more options when facing different project requirements. Double cords and single cord styles will be demonstrated. Please bring your own book blocks without covers for sewing. Bring your own sewing needle and thicker buttonhole threads if you have a preference.

 

Robert Wu, a design binder and master marbler with his own studio, holds a MA in architecture from the University of Toronto. He studied bookbinding at the American Academy of Bookbinding with Monique Lallier, with Tini Miura at Studio Tini, and has participated in many CBBAG workshops.
