CBBAG Calgary includes members from across Southern Alberta. We meet the third Thursday of each month at 7:00pm (September through June) at various locations.

Our meetings are open to both members and the general public and involve presentations on a wide variety of topics and a sharing of ideas and projects completed by Chapter members.

This year due to the pandemic, we have shifted to virtual Zoom meetings with a mixture of guest speakers, local activities and exchanges. Virtual meetings have allowed us to reach a broader audience and to invite CBBAG members and non-members from across Canada.

Our chapter has a Lending Library which holds books, DVDs and newsletters. Please visit our Library Holdings for a list of items.

Altered Books: A personal look at the history of altered books including works by Cathryn Miller

A former theatrical designer and fibre artist, Cathryn Miller has focused on book arts and paper making for the past twenty years. Under the imprint of Byopia Press, Miller’s handmade paper and book works are held in more than forty public collections in Canada, the United States, and England, and in private collections the world over. Most of Cathryn’s recent works are an exploration of either time/duration or memory storage/retrieval, or both.
