Education opportunities

From its founding in 1983, education has been at the core of CBBAG programmes. Each year book arts teaching workshops are organized by CBBAG chapters across Canada. Workshops vary from half-day mini workshops to week-long intensive courses offering a wide variety of topics serving the needs of the beginner through master level book artist, both traditional and contemporary.

Objective

The objective of the CBBAG education programme is that courses be as accessible as possible while providing full instruction, ultimately enabling the participant to function independently as a book artist or bookbinder. CBBAG offers bookbinding instruction in a number of ways: in-person instruction, on demand online instruction, live online instruction, and distance learning through CBBAG's Home Study programme.
