Painted Cover Long/Linkstitch Books

Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Course Fee: $95 members / non-members

Materials Fee: $20 payable to instructor

Learn how to hand bind a soft cover book using the Longstitch/Linkstitch technique!  First, students will learn basic paper decorating techniques using acrylic paint and a variety of implements.  Then students will incorporate these papers and bind it all into a book using Longstitch/Linkstitch. Suitable for beginners, everyone will leave with a finished project.

Notes: Sharp tools are used in this class. And, if you wear glasses to see small details, make sure to bring them!


Carolyn Eady of Sprouts Press is a bookbinder, printmaker, papermaker, drawer, and painter. Carolyn has a Bachelor of Fine Art from OCAD in Toronto and an Advanced Studies Certificate from studying art abroad In Florence, Italy.
