Learn how to design, create, and print your own Ex Libris bookplate! In this workshop students will learn basic relief printing techniques, using 3" x 3" softoleum blocks and lino cutting tools. Simple designs will be encouraged for beginners. Then students will print their blocks in a small edition of 10, in one colour, creating the perfect adornment for their book collection! Instructions will be given on how to print more bookplates at home, using everyday household tools. Note: Sharp tools are used in this class. And, if you wear glasses to see small details, make sure to bring them!
