Hours: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Course Fee: $50 members / non-members

Materials Fee: $10 payable to the instructor

Prerequisite: none

Maximum enrollment: 6 Students

A whole day to explore the magic of indigo dyeing. Two indigo vats will be set up. A limited number of other dyes will also be available. Participants are free to just explore indigo’s potential or to use the vats to create work for other projects.

Participants should bring their own materials to work with such as cloth, papers, yarn or anything else that comes to mind. Cloth and yarn should be washed before coming to the workshop to facilitate the dyeing.

A $10 materials fee per person will collected by the workshop leader on the day of the workshop. Previous experience in dyeing is not necessary.

Joan Links is a retired librarian who has worked with fibre and bookbinding for many years. She has done work with both natural and chemical dyes on cloth, paper, and yarn.
