This limp binding is based on a 16th century registry of brewery taxes.
This book will be wrapped in felt as a substitute for leather. The text block is sewn separately and is tacketed to the cover. Leather supports are sewn with decorative patterns onto the cover, prior to the final fastening of the text block. The closure is a buckle.
Sewing can be strenuous at times, so beginners might need a bit of extra time. Some experience sewing a textblock using sewing supports is of benefit.
